Leipzig dreams of the round of 16 against ManU, BVB have group victory in their own hands
It’s off to the last matchday of the Champions League group stage (December 8th, 2020). Not all tickets for the knockout round in February / March have been awarded yet, but this will be clarified by Tuesday or Wednesday evening at the latest. Due to the desperate 5-0 first leg result in Old Trafford, the Saxons are doomed to win against the English record champions. Since the Red Bulls can hardly rely on group opponents Paris St. Germain to slip up in the home game against Basaksehir FK, RBL coach Julian Nagelsmann has to put everything on one card against the Red Devils.

The BVB coach has already announced in advance that the group victory is actually not that important to him, which suggests that the Westphalia would prefer to spare themselves for the next Bundesliga appearance against Stuttgart (Saturday).
So it is easy to imagine that Schwarzgelb will not take the last group game in Russia so seriously, which would correct the actual balance of power between the two rivals ailing players who would certainly benefit from a break in their game in terms of their full recovery. Is BVB pushing for group victory or is the Bundesliga club voluntarily withdrawing from Zenit St. Petersburg? The latest results in the Bundesliga could contribute to the fact that black money would prefer to take a breather instead of chasing after group victory in Russia.
The injuries are currently increasing at the German runners-up, which allows only one logical consequence with regard to the last group game, namely that Dortmund will not throw everything into the balance to defeat Zenit St. Petersburg. At the same time, the Russian league leaders should be interested in leaving the European Cup in due style. From our point of view, there is therefore a lot to suggest that Zenit will prevail against Dortmund.

RB Leipzig vs Man United Betting Odds and Predictions
RB Leipzig must deliver against the Red Devils on Tuesday evening, otherwise, the Saxons are threatened with wintering in the Europa League. The tension in the hard-fought Group H has been at its height since the last matchday at the latest after Paris St. Germain was able to retaliate at Old Trafford for their 2-1 home defeat on Matchday 1. Due to the 3-1 victory of the French and the late 4-3 victory of the Leipzig in Istanbul, all three top teams are equal with nine points. Manchester United clearly claims the direct comparison after the 5-0 clap of the Red Bulls.
Thus RBL coach Julian Nagelsmann only has one option, the last group game has to be won. That the disgrace from the first leg will repeat itself is as good as impossible, especially since the English could live well with a draw in the end. Neither team spared each other in their preparation for the Champions League showdown. While the English record champions had to parry a 0-1 deficit at West Ham United, RB Leipzig took on Bayern in the top Bundesliga game.
The Red Devils later won their guest appearance in London 3-1, while the Saxons failed to really annoy the German series champions and had to be satisfied with a 3: 3 despite two lead times. Even if the latest results may not say much about the upcoming meeting, it does show that both clubs are currently at a high level. For RBL, however, one thing is very clear, as, with the 2-1 home win against Paris St. Germain, a really exceptional day is required to kick the Premier League participant out of the competition.
The semi-finalist from last season wants to write Champions League history again this year. This requires a special moment in the Red Bull Arena on Tuesday evening so that you don’t end up with sagging shoulders. The Red Devils gave away a match point against Paris last game day, which could play an important role in the minds of the players. A look at the odds of the bookmakers, however, shows how balanced the balance of power between the two teams is. We still believe that the Bundesliga team is easy to favour, but we do not want to go entirely on a pure win tip. Since a draw would be enough for the English, our recommendation is Draw-no-Bet Leipzig, in order to at least get the stake back if the points are shared.
