The fronts in Group G are already clear after four match days. Barcelona and Juventus have certainly bought the ticket for the round of 16 and are only fighting for the group victory and the associated easier lot in the round of the last 16 in the remaining two games.

So that the Italian series champion can mathematically jump to first place with a win in Barcelona in the coming week, Cristiano Ronaldo and Co. need a threesome on Wednesday evening. If we believe the odds of the best bookmakers between Juventus and Dynamo Kyiv, then the proverbial devil would have to go if the favourite does not prevail in their own stadium.

Nevertheless, caution is of course advised. Especially against the background that the old lady won the flattering 2-1 win against the blatant underdog Ferencvaros in the last second. Even at the national level, things are not going well for the Pirlo team. Four of the most recent six games ended in a draw.

In our opinion, it would still be too daring to predict that the Ukrainians will win points between Juventus and Dynamo Kyiv. The differences in quality are too blatant and the last appearances of the Eastern European guests were also too weak. Anyone who loses 4-0 at home to Barca, which is also in crisis, should also have a difficult time in Turin a week later.

Juventus – Statistics & current form

Juventus Turin has certainly been one of the biggest disappointments this season. The Italian champions of the past nine seasons lags far behind their own expectations in Serie A and currently has to make do with fourth place. Even more worrying than the placement is the fact that the Bianconeri actually won only four of the nine league games, but have already drawn five times.

Last weekend it became clear again that the team of the former Juve legend Andrea Pirlo is still hooked at every nook and cranny. Without the spared CR7, the old lady couldn’t get past an embarrassing 1: 1 draw at the newly promoted Benevento. The unrest in the club is growing, those responsible are sounding more and more alarms and persistent rumours about early termination of the experiment with Pirlo make the situation more difficult.

Juventus hard to beat in the Champions League at home

Although there is not too much at stake in the home game on Wednesday evening in the Champions League against Dynamo Kyiv and even if they succeed against the Ukrainians, the group victory of the Bianconeri is already a long way off in view of the lost first leg at home to Barcelona (2-0) is, the encounter nevertheless has a very significant character.

After the equally weak performance against Ferencvaros the previous week, when the goal for the 2-1 victory was only achieved in stoppage time, this time a sovereign three-point should be achieved if possible. Statistically, a tip on the home win between Juventus and Dynamo Kyiv can be justified.

Will Ronaldo lead the old lady to a sovereign victory?

On the one hand with the impressive home record in the Champions League group stage: 16 wins, eight draws and only two defeats in the last 26 games and on the other hand with the fact that no Ukrainian team has ever defeated the Italian subscription champions.

There is currently no final answer to whether Cristiano Ronaldo will return to the starting line-up. In two games in his career against Kyiv, the Portuguese have already scored three goals. In 2020/21, CR7 only scored one goal in the group stage. Morata leads the internal scorer list with five goals in the CL.

Probable lineup of Juventus:
➤ Buffon; Cuadrado, Danilo, Bonucci, Frabotta; Bentancur, McKennie; Bernadeschi, Chiesa, Kulusevski; Morata

Dynamo Kyiv – Statistics & current form

Even before the start of the 2020/21 Champions League season, it was actually clear that Dynamo Kyiv would probably not play a role in Group G in the fight for the round of 16. This impression has now been confirmed. With only one point from four games, the team of coach Mircea Lucescu already has no chance of the knockout round.

Nevertheless, Dynamo of course still has an important goal in front of their chest, because in the coming week against Ferencvaros Budapest at least the entry into the Europa League should be perfect. A 0-0 or 1: 1 at home may be enough to leave the Hungarian titleholder behind in the Group G table thanks to the direct comparison.

Dynamo Kyiv only fights for the Europa League

Next Wednesday, however, the Eastern Europeans still have to do their duty and play the away game in Turin. The hope of a surprise coup is not great, especially since Kyiv got under the wheels 4-0 at home against Barcelona the previous week and lost the first leg against Juventus 2-0.

In general, the multiple Ukrainian national champions only won one of their last twelve Champions League games (qualification left out). That single win dates back to December 2016, almost exactly four years ago. It is hard to imagine that this dry spell would end in Italy of all places. Against representatives from Serie A, the record is also catastrophic with only one success in twelve guest appearances. At least the staff situation didn’t cause any major problems, because all tests before departure were negative.

The probable lineup of Dynamo Kyiv:
➤ Bushchan; Kedziora, Popov, Zabarnyi, Mykolenko; Andriyevskyi, Shaparenko; Tsygankov, Shepelev, De Pena; Verbic

Juventus vs Dynamo Kyiv Betting Odds and Predictions

In the Champions League group G, there will be a duel between Juventus and Dynamo Kyiv on Wednesday evening. The betting odds reflect the balance of power very well. Andrea Pirlo’s team, who has meanwhile been heavily criticized, is a big favourite in the match and absolutely needs a sovereign victory in order to push aside the unrest within the club for at least a few days.

The old lady won only four of nine games in the league and did not cover herself with fame in the premier class in the 2-1 win against Ferencvaros. The goal to win came in stoppage time and once again revealed the serious weaknesses that the Bianconeri is currently struggling with.

Key facts – Juventus vs Dynamo Kyiv tips

🔺 Juve only lost two of their last 26 CL home games
🔺 Kyiv only has one point after four match days and has no chance of reaching the round of 16
🔺 In the first leg, the old lady prevailed 2-0

Statistically, everything speaks for Cristiano Ronaldo and Co. on Wednesday. There is not much at stake for the guest from Ukraine. The Eastern Europeans, who no longer have a chance of the round of 16, will focus much more on next week’s home game against Ferencvaros. Then it’s about third place in Group G and the associated relegation to the Europa League.

Due to the blatant difference in quality and the high defeat of the outsider in the previous week against Barcelona (0: 4), we dare a tip between Juventus and Dynamo Kiev on the handicap success of the Pirlo team.
