Red-hot Betis will be hoping to take a giant stride towards European qualification when they play host to already-relegated Malaga in the fifth Andalusian derby of the 2017/’18 La Liga (LL) campaign.
A goalless draw away to Atlético Madrid in their last fixture saw Betis stretch their unbeaten league run to seven matches (W6, L1), in which they have scored 11 goals and shipped just one. Betis have gone four LL home games without conceding a goal.
Quique Setién’s first season in charge of Betis has been nothing short of outstanding. They currently sit in seventh spot with an impressive 56 points (W17, D5, L12) to their name – 17 more than they managed in the entire 2015/’16 season. Betis’ exploits are truly remarkable and praiseworthy.
