Betis vs Malaga Soccer Tips

Red-hot Betis will be hoping to take a giant stride towards European qualification when they play host to already-relegated Malaga in the fifth Andalusian derby of the 2017/’18 La Liga (LL) campaign.
A goalless draw away to Atlético Madrid in their last fixture saw Betis stretch their unbeaten league run to seven matches (W6, L1), in which they have scored 11 goals and shipped just one. Betis have gone four LL home games without conceding a goal.
Quique Setién’s first season in charge of Betis has been nothing short of outstanding. They currently sit in seventh spot with an impressive 56 points (W17, D5, L12) to their name – 17 more than they managed in the entire 2015/’16 season. Betis’ exploits are truly remarkable and praiseworthy.
Málaga’s relegation to the second tier was confirmed on April 19, so they head to the Benito Villamarín Stadium with nothing to lose. A win over Betis would see Málaga (20 pts, W5, D5, L24) move off the bottom of the table and leapfrog Las Palmas into 19th place.
Betis have won the last three top-flight meetings between the sides – beating Málaga 2-0 in the reverse fixture earlier this season – but Málaga have a pretty decent record away to Betis (W8, D7, L9).

Players Soccer Prediction:

Forward Sergio León, who is Betis’ top LL scorer this season (11 goals, 46 shots), is available for selection after serving a one-match ban.
Diego Rolan (five goals, 25 shots) is set to return to Málaga’s line-up. He didn’t feature in his side’s last league outing through injury.

Stat Soccer Tips

No team in LL have gone as long without conceding a goal this season as Betis (six games).
Málaga have had fewer shots on target (3.0 per game) than any other LL side so far this campaign.
