16 teams are still fighting for the title in the DFB Pokal. Remarkably, there are only nine top division clubs left in the race for the finals in Berlin. The field of a round of 16 participants is completed by a regional league team and six teams from the strong 2nd Bundesliga.

One of the only two direct duels between two Bundesliga clubs will take place on Wednesday evening in the Mercedes-Benz Arena. Gladbach – Statistics & current form

The DFB Pokal and Borussia Mönchengladbach haven’t been the very best friends in recent years. In the past nine editions, the foals only passed the round of the last 16 three times. Twice it was the end of the line in the semi-finals, and once it was out in the quarter-finals.
