Udinese vs Inter Betting Odds Prediction

With their Champions League (CL) qualification hopes fast dwindling, Inter Milan (fifth) travel this weekend in Serie A (SA) to a free-falling Udinese side (14th) staring at relegation.
A point last weekend was Udinese’ first after 11 straight defeats. The mood in the camp is certainly depressing, as they start this round just three points above the relegation zone. Was their last game an aberration or an inspirational turnaround? Therein lies their key to survival.
There is nothing inspirational in their away form, however, as they have lost six of their last seven trips. They have conceded at least two goals in each of their last 12 matches, including three to the already-relegated Benevento.
Four points separate Inter from the top-four and with three games remaining in the season, their only hopes lie on Lazio or Roma slipping. Their season finale against Lazio could be a CL spot decider, but last weekend’s morale sapping defeat to Juventus left them high and dry.
Inter have been consistently inconsistent, more so away from home. In their last ten trips, they have won only twice (W2, D5, L3), failing to score in six of those games. They still boast the third-best defence in away games (12 goals), but with goals of their own drying up, their challenge has lost steam.

Players to watch:

Whatever may be his side’s fortunes, Kevin Lasagna (UDI) has been finding the net regularly – five in four games.
Mauro Icardi is crucial for Inter’s hopes and with a goal each in the last three games, he could just be warming up.

Stat attack:

Inter have won their last four trips to Udinese in SA, scoring 11 and conceding just two.
The last eight SA encounters between these sides witnessed 29 goals, with at least three per match.

Betting Prediction: Inter to win
Odds: 1.80
