Tottenham vs Manchester City Match Prediction

A Tottenham side in top form takes on a Manchester City side that has shown signs of weakness over the last couple of weeks. Regardless, City are still just one or two wins away from being crowned Premier League (PL) champions.
Tottenham have had a great 2018 thus far, and have taken more points than anyone since the start of the year. It is currently six victories in a row, and counting, in the PL for Pochettino’s men.
City, by contrast have conceded eight goals in three matches (in all competitions). They must also mind not to trail at half-time – Tottenham have not let a lead at half time slip in the PL this season, winning on all twelve occasions.
In actual fact, it was the reverse fixture which brought Tottenham their last league defeat. Since December 16, the day of that loss, the north Londoners have taken an impressive 36 points from a possible 42, in a run of form that has seen them all but secure fourth place.
As it has been with every club this season, taking on Tottenham at Wembley as an away side is a new experience for City. For what it is worth, the champions-elect have lost their last two away games against Tottenham, 6-1 on aggregate.

Players to watch:

Christian Eriksen has left quite the mark in his last five appearances (in all competitions). Five goals and one assist is world class form, as he prepares to represent Denmark at this summer’s World Cup.
In the six matches that Sergio Aguero has been benched, injured or barely played, City have lost four. With 30 goals in 39 games, the ‘Sky Blues’ will need him back in form.

These games hardly ever end in a draw. Out of the last 15 fixtures between the clubs (in all competitions), City have ten wins to Tottenham’s three.
The last ten games between the two clubs have provided no less than 40 goals.
